The Zoo Med Desert UVB & Heat Lighting Kit is a convenient bundle designed for new and existing desert reptile terrariums. It includes a Mini Combo Deep Dome Lamp Fixture, a Repti Basking Spot Lamp (75 W), and a ReptiSun 10.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp (13 W) to satisfy the heat, UVB, and UVA needs of your desert-dwelling reptiles.
Mini Combo Deep Dome Lamp Fixture
The Zoo Med Mini Combo Deep Dome Lamp Fixture is designed for use with basking lamps, UV lamps, and heat lamps. It combines two fixtures in one for maximum convenience! It is constructed with extra-long reflector domes that extend beyond the face of the lamps, preventing the lamps from protruding. Features include: ceramic sockets designed for use with lamps up to 100 watts (per socket), polished aluminum domes for maximum light and heat output (increases output by up to 30%), and independently controlled in-line on/off switches for greater convenience. NOT designed for use with ceramic heat emitters.
Repti Basking Spot Lamp (75 W)
The Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot Lamp features a unique patented double reflector that focuses up to 35% more heat and light into a tight beam. Perfect for daytime-active basking reptiles (including various tropical and desert species), it provides beneficial UVA rays that promote breeding and overall mental and physical health. It also increases the ambient air temperature in your terrarium, while creating the proper heat gradients necessary for thermoregulation. Lasts up to 2,000 hours of continuous use.
ReptiSun 10.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp (13 W)
The Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp is perfect for all desert-dwelling and basking reptile species, providing 10% UVB, 30% UVA, full spectrum output. This lamp uses a special UVB transmitting quartz glass for maximum UVB penetration, and screws right into standard threaded sockets (no separate ballast required). The UVB emissions help prevent and reverse the dreaded MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease), while UVA increases feeding, mating, and other natural behaviors.
